RBR50 firmware not updating

I have the RBR50 router, firmware version 2.2.0.66, but when I 'check for updates' via the app, I get the message 'There was a problem checking firmware update'.  Any suggestions? 

I saw one suggestion to update the satellite before the router, but I only see the router listed in the settings on the app.

    Have you tried checking Firmware Update via desktop PC or Mac?

    Try manually downloading the FW files for the RBS and RBR and apply them manually using a web browser. Be sure to update the RBS first, then RBR.
