RBR50 Moving Homes
Apologies if these are silly questions:
Just moved homes (from neighborhood where internet had to come from cellular hotspot) to house with 400 mbbs download.

More than just "recommend". Unless you want problems it is strictly necessary.
Having two routers side by side is a recipe for chaos and confusion.

Their option 1 is the best choice.
Modem Combo Units:
This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.

(1) Spectrum installer left both cable router/wifi enabled (2&5g) and attached the Orbi RBR 50 (which Im relatively certain is broadcasting on same or similar frequencies.
Should I disable to cable modem's wifi signals for fear of conflict? ... and
(2) Should I return the Orbi to factory default settings since I am working with new internet source upstream? As it stands, I can get wifi reception from pathways provided by both systems but I want to optimize reception.
