RBR50 OpenVPN on iOS
Hi. I can successfully connect to the OpenVPN server on my Orbi RBR50 router from my iPhone (13 mini running iOS v16.7.2) ONE TIME. After that, it fails to connect unless/until I reboot the router.
When examining the log from OpenVPN in iOS, I see the following messages from the failed attempt. (These message repeat a few times as the client makes several reconnect requests.)
[Oct 30, 2023, 05:44:42] Contacting xx.xx.xx.xx:xxxxx via UDP
[Oct 30, 2023, 05:44:42] EVENT: WAIT
[Oct 30, 2023, 05:44:42] Connecting to [xxxxx.mynetgear.com]:xxxxx (xx.xx.xx.xx) via UDP
[Oct 30, 2023, 05:44:42] Server poll timeout, trying next remote entry...
[Oct 30, 2023, 05:44:42] EVENT: RECONNECTING
[Oct 30, 2023, 05:44:42] EVENT: RESOLVE
From reading another post on the subject (https://bobcares.com/blog/server-poll-timeout-error-in-openvpn/), the server poll timeout means that the server (OpenVPN running on the router) could not reach "the specified" port.
So, it could successfully connect one time, but after that, the router has to be rebooted?
Notes:
1. RBR50 indicates it is running the latest firmware for the base unit and satellites.
2. I have tried reinstalling OpenVPN on iPhone, re-importing the OpenVPN profile, rebooting the phone...the usual.
Thanks for any help!

Would it be convenient to capture a log that includes both
- the original connection that succeeds.
- stopping that original connection.
- a subsequent connection that fails
Is there another device that can be used to connect to the Orbi?
(for example, one of my test procedures is to disconnect my phone from the Orbi LAN, open a WiFi Hot Spot with the phone, connect a tablet or laptop to the phone Hot Spot, and run OpenVPN on that device.)
More than one device can connect at the same time using OpenVPN. (I have never tried to test how many.) It might be interesting to observe what happens if the iPhone is connected and then a second device attempts to connect.
