RBR50 Orbi wifi works, ethernet stopped working

Was away from my home for a new days, and my router suddenly became unreachable (Circle reported it as offline, could not log into my Arlo cameras). When I was able to physically troubleshoot it, it had the purple ring so I power-cycled it. Separate modem was fine and showed a connection. After power-cycling, the purple ring was gone and wifi worked, but none of the devices attached to the ethernet ports of the router were able to connect to the internet any more. Unlike the other related post here, I am not using any network switches at the moment.

Has anyone else ran into this issue?

  • Was able to fix the setup by unplugging all ethernet devices from the satellite and basestation, plugging in just the Arlo, reserving that IP for the Arlo, then plugging back in the rest of the ethernet devices.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Did you pull the power adapter for 1 minute then plug back in with ALL LAN devices and modem disconnected from the RBR?

    Hello routerrouter,

    Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!

I understand that you are having difficulties establishing the connection between your end-user devices and your RBR50 via ethernet cable.

Please factory reset your RBR50 then connect your devices to your RBR50 via ethernet cable.

    Best,

    Kevin

Hello. I've factory reset my RBR50, but the ethernet ports are still not working for any of my devices. Wifi continues to work. Did the device suddenly become defective?

Tried plugging ethernet of my desktop into ethernet on one of my Orbi satellites, and that works for my desktop. Did this to confirm no issues on the desktop side, and no issue with the ethernet ports on the satellites. However, it's not an ideal situation because I had to move the satellite right next to the regular Orbi basestation, and I need the satellite in the other part of the house. Not sure if this information helps.

Another observation; the following setup worked for the desktop: only modem plugged into the base station, only desktop plugged in to the satellite. I noticed that if I also plug in the ethernet cables for my NAS and my Arlo basestation into the satellite, the desktop suddenly has connectivity problems again. I unplugged just the Arlo from the satellite, and then connectivity slowly started working again.
