RBR50v2 Wifi issues

Hi All,

I had a RBR20 with around 5 satellites but then I upgraded to RBR50, but it turned out to be RBR50v2 and post the upgrade my WiFi speeds dropped from 500+ mbps to around 250mbps max. The main router RBR50v2 was replaced by Netgear once just before the warranty expired but the issue is still the same on the replaced RBR50v2 router too. When connecting via the ethernet the speeds are 600+mbps but on wifi it barely crosses 250mbps up and less than 100mbps down. I am on the latest firmware and downgraded the firmware to v2.5.2.4 but the issues still persists. Anyone else have similar problems ?.

Regards,
Daniel

When I had my RBK system, my wifi was usually that 300-400mbps over 5ghz. Try turning off the other satellites (temporarily) and just testing by the main router and seeing what speeds you're getting. Then slowly turn the satellites back on. Maybe they're daisy chaining and you're connected to a further device.

You might also check out this review from when they were released and scroll to the backhaul section. It shows the impact of additional "hops" has on performance.

Is the backhaul daisy-chained?  Or are the satellites both connected to the router?
