Hello, my RBS 20 satellite is out of sync with the other satellite and router but I can't access it as the power LED just flashes

I have downloaded the rtight firmware but I can't see the naughty satellite in order to apply the firmware - I have tried connecting it to a mac and a windows machine via ethernet to USB but bo joy. I have tried a reset and it won't.

I'm at a loss...

    Hello timtunesguru ,

    Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!

I understand that you are having issues connecting your RBS20 to your Orbi mesh network due to a difference in firmware. Please ensure that your Orbi system is on the latest release firmware version 2.7.5.6. After verifying this firmware please manually update your RBS20 to this firmware to resolve this issue.

Please follow the directions below to manually update your RBS20:

    1. Connect to the back of your Orbi satellite using the ethernet cable
    2. Then navigate to orbilogin.com
    3. Click the Firmware Update button.
The Orbi satellite Firmware Update window opens.
    4. If the browser asks you for the admin password, enter the same password you entered for the Orbi router.
    5. Click the BROWSE button, then locate and select the file that ends in .img or .chk on your desktop.
Be careful not to select the wrong file.
    6. Click the UPLOAD button to upload the firmware file.
It takes a few minutes to complete the process.
    7. After Orbi satellite finishes updating, select Status and double check the firmware version on the Status page.
The firmware on your Orbi satellite is updated.

Please navigate to the link below for a video tutorial on how to update your Orbi satellite:

      Thanks Kevin

I can't access the satellite via ethernet - neither Windows or Mac will see it - I guess because of the red slashing power light.

      Reset won't work either..:(

Can try a 30-30-30 reset on it and see. If this fails, most likely the RBS needs to be replaced.
