RBS40 satellite occasional flashes blue for a few seconds all day
Hi,
New owner of a RBK40 Orbi system. I have had it up for a few days, and havent run into any issues so far other than the sateliite ocassional glows blue for a few seconds every once in awhile. (several times a day).
Is this normal operation for the satelite to flash blue or do I have somethign set up wrong?
Not sure if this is just a way to show all is good with satellite or is it reconnecting to router, etc.
Thanks
Ron

Normally, the light should stay off after everything is connected and the sat & router are in constant contact. Light coming on suggests the sat may be losing connection & reconnecting. But I’d expect more flashing than just a few seconds, starting with white before turning blue, so not sure.

I'm not positive, but I think it will do that if the backhaul switches from 2.4 GHz back to 5 GHz. That would indicate your satellite is too far from the router, or there are too many walls between them. Try moving them if you can.
