RBS50 Unable to update to latest firmware v2.1.1.16 from v2.0.0.74

unable to update to latest firmware v2.1.1.16 on RBS50 (satellite), getting pop-up below while following instructions (https://kb.netgear.com/000053128/RBR50-RBS50-Firmware-Version-2-1-1-16). Tried firefox but same result. Tried ethernet connect to satellite and same result.

  • Try moving satellite closer and do a factory reset on the satellite.  Also, the process seemed to take atleast 6 minutes - 10 minutes for it to sync.  The issue might be because it wouldnt sync with the router.  I had to flash back to the 2.0.0.74 cause there was sync issues.

      Thank you for the quick response. 

      It is currently running v2.0.0.74. Tried wifi right next to the satellite then ethernet but same result. 

      I had success once before upgrading after purchase the router/satellite to v2.0.0.74 but now getting this error. Might try power cycling the satellite to see if that makes any difference before a factory reset (neither steps was indicated in the kb instructions).

        After a power reset, I was able to update the satellite to latest v2.1.1.16 ... It then went ahead and updated the router (RBR50) as well. No need to re-enter or restore configuration. It is working nicely again.
