RBS50 wired backhaul shown as 5G/2.4G in AP Mode

Here is my setup:

Internet ---WAN---> X4S R7800 (Router/Gateway)-- LAN#1 ->  RBR50 LAN#1 (AP mode)

                                                |

                                                -------------------------LAN#2 ->  RBS50 LAN#1

both of RBR50 and RBS50 has framework v2.5.1.8 (latest as of now).

Here is my problem. As I mentioned, in the setup, it's a wired backhaul, however, in the admin dashboard of the RBR50, the protocol of the backhaul is shown as 5G/2.4G but not Ethernet. the status of the backhaul is shown as poor.

Any idea about why? Please let me know if you need more information.

Thanks.

    Have you tried connecting the RBS50 to one of the LAN ports on the RBR50, rather than to the R7800?

      it would be very difficult to test that in my case. (realy hard to move the RBS). but why that matters?

        Well, sorry.  My Orbi WiFi is located right next to my modem, so I just assumed that your Orbi was right next to the R7800 and that it would be a simple matter of moving the cable.  So, those "LANs" are switches located in different areas away from the R7800?

    Try this wiring:

    • X4S LAN#1 -> RBR50 yellow (WAN) port (not RBR50 LAN#1)
    • RBR50 LAN#1 ->  RBS50 LAN#1 (wired backhaul)

      Good catch.  I missed that completely.

      There is only one cable from RBR to the router and one from RBS to the router.

        I think the point was to confirm that the RBR was connected to the router from the yellow (WAN) port, not LAN port 1.
