RBR40 Blinking White Light
At about 3pm today I started experiencing connection issues on some devices, so AI decided to reboot the RBR40. It will not reconnect to my Verizon modem . It remains in a pulsating white light. ...

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router.

What verizon modem is it?
So apparently, after 3 or so hours I started to get some connectivity back. I tried to update to latest firmware during this time, but the Orbi app AND website said I had the latest Firmware. Strange. My RBR40 and my RBS20s remain in the same firmware version. The Verizon modem is the G1100. As of right now, there are no issues.
I did check the Verizon router directly and I had Internet access.
I have had the same setup for 7+ years, I found out that I had a double NAT situation going on, so I changed the Orbi to AP mode and basically lost all setting options.
I am not sure what happened here or if it is a song of things to come. Any thoughts here...

Yes. I found out about my double NAT. I removed all wifi options on my Verizon FIOS G1100 Modem/Router and set my Orbi RBR40 into AP mode.
Is there a better option (e.g., performance or function benefit) from way or another. For example, would it be better to set Verizon modem to bridge mode and have Orbi manage my network?
I have been seeing different views on this (e.g., not being able to properly or fully set modems to bridge mode). Setting Orbi to AP mode really takes away a lot of the functions of Orbi (which may be available on the Verizon modem itself).
