Router doesn't recognize external USB hard drive on my PC or MAC

My old setup was an Airport Extreme and with that I could plug in a USB external hard drive and be able to see and mount that drive on my Mac Laptop. I never could see the drives on my PC.

Now with the ORBI I am unable to see and/or mount the external drives on my MAC desktop or on my PC.

Does anyone have a solution to the problem? Or am I SOL?
