Are they connected wirelessly or wired?
Are you setting them up in the same room as the RBR first or remotely?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

From the phone (Android) app they both show connected. I've tried removing and adding back with no change. The LEDs on the satellite shows white flashing then blue for 2 mins then out. So it appears to have set up ok.
What am I missing or doing wrong.

I have a RBR50v2 with 2 RBS50v2 satellites. all running Firmware ver 2.5.1.8. Logging in from the desktop to local IP URL shows both Satellites as Disconnected. This happened after I upgraded to 2.5.1.8. I did a reset on both satellites and then synched them ( in the same room as router). Received a blue light on both satellites but it stills shows disconnected when I log back in through the URL. Any suggestions?

Please try a factory reset and setup from scratch with the RBR and RBS.

Distance from Satelitte is 6 feet. Factory reset was done on satellites. Have not tried reset on RBR

Try the RBR and RBS. Add them one at a time. Once they are added and they appear in the UI correctly, move them to there remote locations. 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router

This is my personal opinion, but it appears to me that Netgear has put customers in an awkward position where some of them have to choose between:
- The latest firmware, which addressed some specific issues, but which also (again, for some users) simply has garbage in the "Attached Devices" information, and...
- The previous firmware, which had rock solid device information but caused caused problems in very specific areas.
So, which do you value more: (a) "getting on with life" and using the Orbi, or (b) having the Attached Devices information be correct?
If the satellites light up "Blue" for 2 minutes and WiFi devices places close to them appear to function correctly, it's pretty obvious that the Attached Devices information is incorrect.

And yet we have some where it does work:

Absolutely. My Orbi works just fine. At some point, however, I reach a point of "diminishing returns" and decide that more time spent "beating a dead horse" is not productive. My curiosity wants to learn what specific factor causes some Orbi's to malfunction, and I have idle time to spend on it. Others may just have to choose between which they value more.
