What FW is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
Try a reset on the Orbi router and this time, don't enable QoS, Traffic Meter or Access Controls.
Has nothing to to with LAN port speeds.

The Orbi is connected to my Ubiquiti edge router which is connected to my Arris SB8200 cable modem. The port on the router it is connected to has no blocking service on it and was previously used by my R8500. With the nighthawk, I was only able to get consistent speeds of around 900-925Mbps. With the Orbi, it is exteremly rare to see speeds above 400Mbps.
Currently, the Orbi router is setup with no traffic metering or even QoS and the FW is version 2.2.1.210. I updated the FW to try and fix all the random internet drops throughout the day.
