unable to access wifi

I have been using this router for several months and it suddenly stopped working. i downloaded a software update but am unable to intstall it.

    Have you tried to factory reset the unit?

      Yes I did that; none of it worked. 

      finally I returned it to the store and got another one and this works. Not sure how long though
