Unable to find Orbi wired or SSID after Factory Reset
Following a short power outage my RBR50 started to display a solid magenta color. I factory reset the router to try and reset everything. I am unable to find it when hardwired. I am unable to use ...

I would unplug the Orbi from the internet modem and repeat the "Factory Reset"

Sometimes people get impatient and do not wait long enough for the power LED to flash.
Connect a laptop to the Orbi router with an ethernet cable, open a web browser, and connect to: http://192.168.1.1. This should bring up the Orbi setup screens, where the credentials are "admin" and "password". Also, the Orbi should be broadcasting the WiFi name (SSID) printed on the bottom label (along with the factory WiFi password).
Next time there is a power outage, it might be worth trying this: power off both modem and Orbi. power on the modem and wait for it to stabilize, which can take 2-3 minutes. Then, power on the Orbi. Loss of power is not supposed to cause either the modem or the Orbi to lose configuration and need reset. However, sometimes when they both come alive at the same time, the communication between them is out of sync. i.e. the Orbi can ask for an IP address before the modem is sync'd up and ready. The Orbi says, "there's nobody home", puts on a magenta ring light, and gives up.
- cmahoneyFeb 17, 2020AspirantI unplugged the router and let it sit for about 10 minutes. I then took the cable from my old router (I have an old router so I can still work while trying to resolve Orbi) connecting the Orbi to the Modem. I then powered on the Orbi. After about 40 minutes the flashing white light turned to solid white. Hoping that it would be working I try to pull up the login screen using IP and FQDN. Neither worked. When I ping the IP address I get "Network Unreachable". Without touching the router it is now back to flashing white.
When I use the same cables with my old router it works as expected.- CrimpOnFeb 17, 2020Guru - Experienced User
When changing from the old router to the new router, was the modem power cycled (off and back on)?
It could be that the modem "remembers" the MAC address of the old router and is waiting for it to return.

This is a crucial step in the process that many people overlook.
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:- Turn off and unplug modem.
- Turn off router and computers.
- Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it connect.
- Turn on computers and rest of network.

What Firmware is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too? This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
