Unable to use MyQ with Orbi Mini system? (rbr40)
We installed a Chamberlin garage door opener with the MyQ technology earlier this summer. About a month after that, we switched our wifi over to the Orbi RBR40 mesh system. We have tried to connect to the wifi multiple times with the garage door opener, and it will not connect to the 2.4ghz and it will not work on the 5. Is there something I can do as a workaround to get it to use the 2.4? Hopefully there is a fix that I've missed, otherwise it makes the MyQ technology pointless if we can't connect to our internet.

Some people report success by temporarily setting the Orbi to NOT "Broadcast SSID" on the 5G network. This is on the Orbi web interface (not the "app"), on the Advanced Tab->Advanced Setup->Wireless Settings. Do a "reset" on the opener so that I needs to be set up from scratch and does not remember any WiFi settings. If the opener setup program (on your smartphone?) reqires that the smartphone be connected to the network at 2.4G, you may have to tell the phone to "forget" the WiFi and connect it again.
After the opener is working correctly, tell the Orbi to broadcast the SSID on 5G.
Being Labor Day in the US, there seems to be fewer participants on the forum right now. When more people check the forum, maybe someone with a Chamberlain system will tell us how it worked for them.

This all made logical sense to me. Tried following all of these steps, but alas it still does not work :-(

Probably the next step is to search for "Chamberlain" or "MyQ" in the forum. (In the purple bar at the top above "Orbi".) I got a bunch of hits, but did not read through them all.
