Jul 18, 2020Unregister me from remote management
I sold my RBK 50 and the new owner says I'm still registered for remote management. How to remove this so he can access remote management. My serial number is 4PMH835909721

Please don't post serial numbers to units in public forums.
Please contact NG support and they should be able to help you with this.

My serial number is 4PMH835909721- Retired_MemberNG support will not assist because the product is out of the warranty period. I can't even submit a ticket. This has been an ongoing issue with this company. I am not understanding why after a reset you still are connected to the router. There are saying some rep with the model number and serial number can unregister the device so the new owner can use it. Can anyone assist besides telling me what not to post.

How to remove this so he can access remote management.A factory reset does break the registration of the device for the remote administration. The router has no more association to any account at that point. To start use the Nighthawk App the new ower requires a Netgear account, enabling the remote administration from the local [W]LAN will bind the router to that new account.
