Used Orbi transfer ownership
I purchased an AC3000 second hand. The previous owner said they forgot their netgear login info I would need to reach out to support. The satellite is registered to me.

You don't need to register it to use it.
Start by factory resetting it back to stock.
Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on.
That'll get it to the defaults.
then you can install it and use it as normal.

So just to clarify there should be no security risks with the fact someone else has it registered? I didnt want to set it up until i got some sort of reasurance on that part or got it registered to my name.

Just do a factory reset and reinstall and you should be good.
