Using Netgear and Orbi modems

I have NETGEAR - 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem less than six months old. I now need a new router and I'm looking at the Orbi whole home mesh with the modem built in. Can I use both? Is there any benefit to having 2 modems? How would I connect them.

i am using iMac, iPad, iPhone with Spectrum.

TIA

Which model NG modem do you have?

No, it's one cable modem per one coax line that comes from the ISP. You can't use both at the same time.

Is there another router I should consider? One that would work with my current modem?

The CM1000 is a good modem. You can keep it and connect up a Orbi RBK50 or 850 series system to the modem.
