    Hi everbody, I can confirm that the cradle now works with the AC800s. A software update arrived today for the AC800s and straight after the update I put it in the cradle and all lights are green. Works great!

I just bought the AC800s as well, and would like to buy something to boost the wifi signal at home. The dc112a cradle sounds perfect, but it seems like it doesn't support AC800s? 

 

Hopefully a firmware update comes out soon, coz I'm ready to buy this cradle.

      No mate - I didn't see a Firmware update to get it working. It had no compatibility last time I checked with no updates to the Aircard from Optus or from Netgear. Also noticed that the cradle firmware update system is a little rubbish and couldn't autocheck for new firmware - but I couldn't see firmware on any other Netgear sites.

        Wonder if it a dead duck AC800 is Optus vut Netgear supports Telstra who give the cradle away with the AC810?

      Which aircard cradle is compatible with the AC800S?

      Thank you for contacting NETGEAR Email support. 

      As per the serial number of your device, we were able to identify that your unit is not a retail product. This type of unit is engineered / customized based on the needs of an Internet Service Provider and can only be obtained through them. This means that the support including the replacement / return should be handled through the Internet Service Provider which the product was obtained. 

      However, to answer your question, unfortunately we don't have an available cradle that is compatible with the device you have based on the compatibility products listed on our support site. For the Smart cradle, only a few mobile hotspots are supported. You may see this link: http://www.netgear.com/home/products/mobile-broadband/hotspots/AirCardSmartCradle.aspx#tab-compatibility
