AirCard 320U with Windows 10 21H2

Hi all,

Aircard 320U seems to think USB is being connected / disconnected every second. Issue seems to be related to Windows 10 21H2. Doesn't happen on Windows 10 21H1.

Have tried:

* using either Sierra Wireless Aircard Watcher or Telstra Mobile Broadband Connector

* installing Sierra Wireless Patch for Windows 10

* Clearing drivers and reinstalling (inc system restore from before any card was connected)

* Multiple computers with different cards of same model (x3) and different sims (x3).

* Updating firmware of card.

Tired all the usual tricks to get either Sierra Watcher or Telstra Mobile Broadband Connector working for Windows 10 but with 21H2, it doesn't want to work at all.

When attempting to run Sierra diagnostics tool eventually it bluescreens.

I have the attached a log from event viewer. i'll hopefully be able to attach more logs soon but I think this going to be an issue for a lot of machines as AirCard 320 is still pretty popular.

Can you advise what steps I should take next to get this resolved? Thanks

  • Further update to this. This behavour seems to be happening on earlier versions of Windows (21H1) and i'm also told it was happening on Windows 7 machines (including machines that didn't used to have the issue), but I haven't confirmed this myself.

    Perhaps some kind of certificate for signing of a driver is having an issue?

    I now have a Diagnostic log from the Mobile Broadband Connection manager and have attached it.
