Aircard 782s AU

Hi, after having Aircard 782s (Telstra version) my question; I own the device outright but would like to know if there is a generic firmware available for this device ~ Netgear\Sierra ..?
I'd prefer to flash the device with generic firmware away from Telstra design. I have previously used the AT&T 770s Aircard and find the firmware for this device (Similar device) more suitable to my needs.
I would appreciate your opinion, thanks.

    You ought to stick with what Telstra have approved for use on their network in the AirCard 782S. Having said that the NETGEAR support website will soon have a new firmware upgrade available for download.

    Hi There,

    No generic NETGEAR firmware is available for this model. I agree with the above post and would recommend using Telstra approved firmware for your device to function as it should.
