App won't accept admin password
I have a Nighthawk M100 mobile WiFi router that I am ready to just chuck in the bin. The problem is not so much the device itself, no it's this f#*$&ing Netgear app!! I had to change the SIM in it recently and it says I need to log into the damn Netgear app (iPhone 15, iOS 17.5.1) using the admin password, but it won't accept ANY password including the default password. I have tried 'password' and also the admin password shown on the inside of the device underneath the battery, along with every known password I have ever used. Nothing! I have tried doing a reset on the device (several times), I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and cleared the cache more times than I can remember now. Still nothing! I had this exact same issue just two months ago and I spent nearly three days going back and forth with Netgear's joke of a support, only to be told that since my free support had expired the best way to resolve the issue was to upgrade (ie; PAY!) for more support!! All for what should be a very simple password reset. I've since seen a few others post the exact same thing - that to resolve their issue(s) they should 'upgrade' (i.e.; PAY) for additional support. This amounts to extortion, plain and simple. In that first instance I remember just trying random passwords that I could remember and miraculously one seemed to work - which I immediately wrote down. Now, two months later and this EXACT same issue has ocurred again, only this time that same password will not work. I have tried different variations, doen all the resets again, etc, etc. NOTHING!! So far, I have wasted 5 days and counting and all I have to show for this is a now useless brick which cost a tonne of money. If anyone has any ideas how to simply reset a password I will be eternally greatful. I will also be switching to a different device as soon as I can afford a new one and will NEVER purchase another Netgear device! Sorry for the rant but I am at wit's end about this đ And, as I have seen others posted elsewhere in this forum, Netgear's support is an absolute joke!! (rant over - for now)

Be sure you are using the named Netgear Mobile app for connecting to the MR. You can't use the Nighthawk app.
If you can't get the Mobile app to take the admin password, might try factory resetting the MR and having your iPhone connect to it's default IP address and wifi SSID name, then walk thru the setup wizard using the Mobile app and complete the setup process.
Also, Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

I have the same issue with my Netgear Mobile app. I followed the steps outlined here for my iPhone 15. I can't even enter the entire password before the login screen resets itself.
The answer would be for Netgear to test their software, fix the bugs and act to support their customers
