I know nothing about an MR1100, but I skimmed through the manual:
http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/MR1100/MR1100_UM_EN.pdf
and didn't see anything helpful. The closest thing I found was on page
81, "How do I find a device's MAC address?":
You must know the MAC address for a device when you are doing the

o Assigning an IP address based on a MAC address (when using DHCP)
So, you know that you'd need the MAC address of the device to do what
you want, but there seems to be no way actually to do it. Other than
running a (better) DHCP server on your laptop, or waiting for Netgear to
provide more capable firmware for the MR1100, I don't see any good
possibilities. (Shop more carefully next time?)
Have you tried opening a support case with Netgear?
