Bigpond Aircard 790S won't connect at 8011.ac

I have two computers. One has Edimax AC1200 Long Range Wi-Fi Dual Band PCI-E Adapter.

The other has Edimax AC 1200 Wireless Dual-Band USB Adapter.

On both computers the Aircard only connects @ 802.11 n.

There seems to be no way for it to operate on 802.11 ac at all.

As both wi-fi adapters are 802.11 ac I don't know what the problem could be.

Hope someone can help and thanks in advance.

    Hello MTs04

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your adapter. Also on the 790s try to just enable the wifi on 5ghz and not have the 2.4ghz active and then connect and see if your getting AC and make sure your firmware is up to date on the Aircard.

      Hi Darren,

I have just set the modem to Dual Band with 5GHZ on both channels.

After connecting and checking it still shows connection to 802.11 n.

I have the latest firmware. Anything else I can try.

I also have the latest drivers for my adapter.

      Thanks for your reply.

Still waiting for someone with this 790S hotspot to confirm that It will not connect on 802.11 ac. It will only connect 802.11 n. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
