Changing the IP address

Question

So is there a way to change the 192.168.1.1 default gateway IP address on this unit?
we want to use it as a failover for our current dodgy wireless network but we cannot change the IP address on it.

As I understand, you want to change the default gateway IP address. Here's how:&nbsp;

&nbsp;

1. From a computer that is connected to your network, launch a web browser.
2. Enter http://192.168.1.1.
A login page displays.
3. Enter the administrator login password.
The password is case-sensitive.
The dashboard displays.
4. Select SETTINGS &gt; Setup &gt; Router Setup.
The ROUTER SETUP page displays.

the issue is that an error tells me to please use an IP address within DHCP range and wont allow me to change it out of 192.168.1 scope, even with DHCP turned off.
