Configure LAX20 on French Orange network, help need
Hi everyone,
I've been looking across the forum for some help, but I was not able to find anything close to the issue I'm having.
Where I leave, Optic fiber is not coming before 2025 at best, and ADSL is not an option for home office. Therefore, I recently bought a LAX20-100EUS in order to use the SIM capability to access the Internet via 4G. I subscribed to a specific 4G plan on the ORANGE network.
At first, the network did configure itself automatically, and I got access to the Internet, but at a ridiculously slow speed, like 0.5 MB/s where the same SIM gives me 50 MB/s when put in my smartphone.
But 15 to 20 mins later, it got worse, the connection got lost, and ever since, never came back. I tried resetting the router and using the Installation wizard, but I get the error message ''Incorrect ISP username or password". After triple checking with my ISP, they really are correct. The weird part is that the wizard recognize the SIM is for the ORANGE network and autofill the correct username and parameters.
I tried switching with my mobile sim (also on ORANGE network), same issue : no connection even with the correct APN parameters.
Before I conclude that it's my router that has an issue, would anyone have a hint on what is going on ?
thanks in advance

As the product tag says, the (LAX20) is a 4G LTE WiFi 6 Router.
This section is for Nighthawk with WiFi 6 (AX) and WiFi 6E (AXE) Routers.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Mobile Routers, Hotspots & Modems
Those things are very different from the standard Netgear routers covered in this section.
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.- guiguileinAspirant
oh sorry for posting in the wrong place.
Can i move the post somehow ? or do i need to repost in the router section ?
