Connecting to internet via ethernet port on Nighthawk M2

Hi all, New to this discussion space.

 

I have a Telstra Nighthawk M2 (2100) which will allow me to connect my desktop to the internet using the ethernet port BUT will not connect another device (Catch Power) that diverts my solar generated power to the hot water system and then uses the internet to report.

 

It is as if the router is not recognising the device. MY old ADSL router had no problem.

 

Does anyone know if there is a way that I can manually add a device to the router?

 

Everyone, including the manufacturer, installer, Telstra tech support and me are befuddled.

 

Any advice or assistance welcome.

    Did you connect the M2 to a switch? or another router? (so you can connect more than 1 device)

    Is the M2 in passthrough mode or still in router mode? 

    Are you still able to connect wireless devices to it?
