All updates to the MR6500 firmware are through the carrier, AT&T in this case. There is a software update screen that is located under Settings -> Software. Post the current version of the software you have installed. If your device is ready for a software update, it will display a "check for updates" button. It may still say you're current even if you're not. AT&T is rolling out new software updates SLOWLY.

I had them try that and it looks like there are no updates available. Still having the same disconnect issues, using the laptop for an hour and disconnecting 4 times. The Firmware Version is: NTGX65_12.01.16.01, Firmware Build Date 20230624.

That would be the latest firmware that I've seen as well.
