HELP!! LM1200

I live in a very rural area where no wifi is avaliable accept sat internet and it was worthless. I bought a LM1200 and Linksys. It  worked on a Straight talk unlimited plan for a year or more. Now the red light is on and I cant get it off. The APN is set to TFDATA. It shows up still that wifi is avaliable but it will not contect. Please help, this is the only way my kids have access to internet for school work.

  • Have you contacted the cell service provider for help and information regarding this?

Try a power OFF of the router for 1 minute then back on.

Try a factory reset and setup from scratch.

  • I have the same problem, and I only purchased the LM1200 in November.  I believe the issue is with AT&T (I use a prepaid data plan) marking these modems as 3G devices even though they are 4G devices.  There is a list of devices put out by AT&T that will still work after they get rid of 3G.  Not sure if Straighttalk uses AT&T towers or something else, but as for me, I guess I'm going to have to purchase another modem since this one is not listed nor will it work.

Please check with your carrier why the service is not avaliable anymore if doing a factory reset can't fix the issue.

You can also do a manual network scan to see which carriers' networks are available at your location. Then check whether you can get a new plan from the available carriers.

    Thanks
