How to run the M1 on mains power or battery back up without overheating the battery

With latest firmware, M1 would detect temperature of the battery and stop charging if it goes beyond temperature threshold. What you can do is to remove the battery, power up M1 via Type-C port, you can take another external battery charger to supply required power for M1, and AC power can be plugged to this external battery charger.
