I purchased a used M6 Pro that did not come with the power adapter
I purchased a used M6 Pro that did not come with the power adapter. I saw the same error when I tried to run with the battery removed. I tried several different power adapters and still received the same warning message. In another forum someone said they solved it by using a Quick Charge 2.0 power supply. I tried a Quick Charge 3.0 power adapter and the problem went away.
I am speculating that Netgear may be monitoring the Quick Charge hand shaking protocol and if it is not detected (the adapters I tried were not labeled Quick Charge compliant), it gives the warning message. I have now tried two different QC 3.0 power adapters that work fine.

i'm sure it's all about detecting how much current the USB port is being supplied with. QC compliant bricks have sufficient amps delivery so that's why it works. I have tested several non QC bricks, but are able to deliver at least 3A 5V, and they all worked with my M6. Let me also add that the cable quality is also part of the circuit power delivery, so good gauged cable is a must to let all the 3A of power reach the device unimpeded.
