I recently got a Netgear Nighthawk M1 (Model: MR1100-1TLAUS - Telstra)

Hi everyone,

I recently got a Netgear Nighthawk M1 (Model: MR1100-1TLAUS - Telstra) from a friend. I am looking for a solution to manually update the firmware, as the OTA function is not picking up the latest version.

Device Details:

Current Firmware: NTG9X50C_10.25.01.00

Netgear Initial Firmware: NTG9X50C_10.25.01.01

Target Firmware: I want to upgrade to the latest version NTG9x50C_12.06.08.00.

The Issue: Since I cannot update via the WebUI

My Question: Has anyone successfully updated a Telstra unit from version 10.25.01.00 directly to 12.06.08.00? I have tried manually updated via WebUI but it showed error 16

Any guidance on the correct procedure to force this update would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I see a link in this post you could try:

A bit older than you are looking for.  But Netgear normally doesn't provide links for carrier-specific products.  You could try reaching out to Telstra.

It works when I test it.

But I did need to open it in a new window, and then hit enter.  Then select download from Chrome.  Chrome says it is insecure, so I then needed to select "keep".
