Improve Nighthawk M2 wifi range

Is it possible to improve the wifi range of the M2 by pluging in a Wifi extender in to the usb, I'm looking for something as a portable solution so was hoping for something usb powered

    The MR2100 has an ethernet port. It'd be simple to connect an access point or a router to that for better range.

      Thanks for the sugestions but as I mentioned I was using it as a portable solution so I will not always have mains power that is why I asked about usb
      Has any one used this successfully Nighthawk Dual-Band USB 3.0 Adapter(A7000)

        The vast majority of USB ethernet adapters require windows/mac/linux to run. And those usually require installing the drivers. Not possible with this. there's quite a few travel routers that have built in batteries. You could try connecting them. But doubtful you'd get any more range than the hotspot provides.
