LAN support on new MR1100 router
Hi there,
The new MR1100 device looks great. Just wondering if:
a) Does it support LAN networking between connected devices?
b) Does it allow devices to connect and network even if there is no internet connection or mobile signal available?
Any insights would be super hepful, thanks!
Mike
Hi,
The MR1100 ethernet interface supports both LAN and WAN modes.
By default, the ethernet interface is in LAN mode on the same subnet as the WiFi interfaces.
When put in 'ethernet offload' mode, the ethernet interface is reconfigured as the WAN interface and LTE data connection is disabled.
The LAN interfaces are operational even when WAN interface is disconnected.
