LB1111 Feedback - Need prefered cell ID list
Hello
I bought a LB1111 LTE modem, I’m actually satisfied with the performance and stability of the device BUT, there are 2 key feature missing:
1. In my area there seems to be 2 LTE antennas from my operator, but 95% of the time the device connects to the one which indeed has the best signal quality but extremely poor performance (max 500kbit/s download only), even when I use an external antenna (Poynting XPOL2). The remaining 5% of the time, the modem connects to the other antenna which has 200 times the performance of the previous one (25Mbit/s).
So you absolutely need to add a list of preferred cell ID to which the modem should connect if available. It’s really not that complicated at all to implement these in the firmware and I would appreciate that this feature gets available over firmware upgrade on existing products and not only on upcoming products.
2. There is no "restart" button in the GUI interface. (I’m using the modem on a distant site, I would really appreciate that I could restart it securely over the GUI and not only over the power button)
I would appreciate that this feedback could be send to the technical department in charge of the firmware development.
Beside that I have 2 questions:
1. I wanted to ask if there is a way to send AT commands to the LB1111 to force it to connect to a specific cell ID antenna. If yes, how could it be done?
2. Do you confirm that external LTE antennas are hotplug? I mean the modem doesn’t need to be rebooted in order to switch from the internal antenna to the external one?
Thank you

I forgot another detail.
Please stop using bulky TS-9 antenna connectors on device like the LB1111 without battery and that are not intended to be carried around like the battery powered Aircards. Use SMA connectors instead. They are much more robust and it avoids the adding of a TS-6 to SMA adaptor, which deteriorates the signal.
