LB1120 latest firmware causes Mobile Broadband Disconnected

I have had a very, very reliable LB1120 that I use as a failover LTE connection.  It is set to always be connected, pinging something every 15 minutes per the Firmware UI.  I noticed a firmware update mention on the admin page, and figured I should do it.

Ever since I ran the firmware update, it am presented with Mobile Broadband Disconnected after a short period of time (1+ days).  The ONLY way to un-do it is to do a Factory Reset.  I think log-in with the default password, change the password & settings, and then it will eventually disconnect after 1+ days.

1. Can I roll back to a previous firmware?  Is there a Telnet/SCP method?  There is no way to DL the firmware file directly.

2. Is there any remedy to this?  The device is now essentially bricked.  It is out of warranty, but the failure was CAUSED by Netgear, so they should take some responsibility for this SNAFU.

  • I factory reset the device, and it started working again.  Since I crafted my network around the default behavior of the device, I was able to use it again.  After ~ 5 days it stopped working again.  A reboot doesn't do anything.  There are no options to re-connect the device.  I performed a factory reset again (not touching the SIM, as I am physically remote), and it worked again.

Here is a screenshot immediately after a factory reset.  It promptly re-connected and started working again.  Since I'm using this device as a backup connection if my primary connection fails, this is no longer a usable device.
