LB1120 LTE Frequency Bands
I bought a LB1120 (4G LTE Modem) in the US for use in Asia (Philippines, Hong Kong mainly). Unbeknown to me, different countries / networks have different LTE bands, and this modem only supports a few of them (B2, 4, 5 and 12).
SMART has band 5 in the Philippines, but no network in Hong Kong uses any of the supported bands. Did I buy a $120 paperweight or is there something I can do?

Not much you can do if the country you are using it in does not use one of the bands the aircard supports.
