Hi salvagetec,
Sorry for your inconvenience. I was wondering if your LB1120 device was up to date with it's firmware. Also the NETGEAR LB1120 cannot change anything to your AT&T account.

Hi salvagetec,
Thank you for your response. So your ISP said you were half a mile away from a "3G" tower. I'm not sure why your modem page would show 4G connection. If you are concerned if your ISP has speed caps on their plans then you should confirm with them to double check. Also if the firmware is up to date, then please perform a factory reset on your LB1120.
Please let me know if this fixed your issue. :]

Sorry for the slow response on my dilemma. In Connecticut we’ve had some weather issue that made testing in my freed time un-reliable. So, I’m not feeling 100% percent with my finding yet.
On ATT end I feel like they are doing some bandwidth management on customers. At work on a business account I’m getting solid 34mbps down and a solid 11mbps up, time 2. I have 2-Netgear LB1120 plug into a Sonicwall for fail over for 35 users. I use 1 is for remotes user coming in and the other is for out bound traffic. The same equipment I’m using at home. (Netgear LB1120 and outdoors MINO antenna.) Cell Towers are ¼ mile from both my locations. At home 7-8mbps down and 11mbps up. My phone which has had speed issue during all this is 34mbps down and 11mbps up off the phone screen. Tie to the laptop 8-7mbps down and 11mbps up. So why the slow download down load over the laptop?
I do think my earlier issue was having and other here have posted about ATT marking my modem as 4g-lte device. The second is Windows 10 network setting on my test laptop had been set to Public in the network setting. That mad the Windows firewall and anti-virus screw up my download test. I also try upgrade my wifi adapter to an “AC” wireless to match my new modem. My new ASUS router doesn’t have a MTU setting I can re-set for the cellular connection. The Sonicwall at work does and is set to 1420 bytes.
At this point is cell tower issue, laptop connection or Router MTU setting issue?
