LB2120 LTE Modem bad default password
Hi
I have just purchased a brand new Netgear LTE Modem 2120 (LB2120-100AUS)
The default password on the sticker at the bottom of the modem is not correct.
When I attempt to login to the management interface on http://192.168.1.5 by entering the password in the "Sign In" field.
The error I receive is "Admin Login incorrect"
I have tried the following steps:
- Restarted the modem - multiple times, waited 1 minute for the modem to restart.
- Factory reset
- According the the manual downloaded from here: Download Center | Support | NETGEAR
- Held in the reset button on the bottom of the device for 10 seconds
- Waited for over 1 minute for the device to reset.
- Typed out the password in notepad, confirmed it was correct and pasted into the Sign in field
- Typed in the password, confirming that Capslock is off
- Typed in the password, confirming that Capslock is on
- Typed in the password and pressed [Enter]
- Typed in the password and clicked the "Sign In" button on the form
- Tried other default passwords, such as "admin", "password"
- Tried MS Edge and Google Chrome browsers
Is there anything else I can do?
It seems like this modem has been misconfigured from the factory, or the wrong label applied at the factory.
The sticker on the bottom of the modem states that the MAC address of the device is:
44-A5-6E-C0-62-CE
If I run "arp -a" from the command line I get the following result for the IP address of the device:
C:\>arp -a
Interface: 192.168.5.63 --- 0x15
Internet Address Physical Address Type
192.168.5.1 46-5a-e6-0c-26-ed dynamic
192.168.5.255 ff-ff-ff-ff-ff-ff static
...
255.255.255.255 ff-ff-ff-ff-ff-ff staticThe MAC address of the device does not match the sticker.
The wrong sticker has been applied to the device, so the password on the sticker also doesn't match the password in the firmware of the device.
The modem is effictivelty bricked from the factory and will need to be returned.

Up front, the LB2120 (Netgear standard versions like -100AUS, probably different for carrier specific models) default password is password - and nothing else. Yes, it is printed on the label, LB2110 shown here:
Second, the LB2120 does have to Ethernet adapters, one is designated WAN, one is designated LAN. So well possible the device has (at least) two adjacent MAC addresses, like 46-5a-e6-0c-26-ec and 46-5a-e6-0c-26-ed. The lower one, typically the WAN port MAC, is printed on the label. Possibly a typo above?
Third, I can be wrong. In this case please submit a photo of your LB2120 label.
