M4250 vs M4300

What is the main difference between these two series? We use it primarily for NDI, DANTE, and Streaming. The M4250 is perfect for this and I see the M4300 is part of the AV line as well. I assume it uses the same Engage Controller and has all the settings like NDI, DANTE, etc. to make configuring easy and fast. I am asking because an AV facility is selling them, and I am hoping I can add and integrate them into our existing M4250 switches easily.

  • Carefully compare the Data Sheet | M4300 series, predominantly 10 Gb ports and the matching switch fabric bandwidth capacity; modular with 40 Gb ports, with the Data Sheet | M4250 Series, predominantly 1 Gb ports plus some 10 Gb uplink ports and the matching switch fabric bandwidth capacity, and several PoE+/PoE++ versions for all power requirements on copper ports of course .. there are all answers already.

Before you ask, compare the Data Sheet | M4350 Series which is covering models with predominantly 1 Gb ports, models with predominantly 10 Gb ports, and models with predominantly 25 Gb ports, always with the the matching switch fabric bandwidth capacity, and several PoE+/PoE++ versions for all power requirements on coper ports of course.
