M6 pro (MR6500-1TLAUS) firmware

Hi

 

I have a M6 pro (MR6500-1TLAUS) from Telstra with current firmware NTGX65_12.01.41.00

 

Can someone kindly confirm what the latest firmware is for this model? (according to update via router, there is no more recent firmware to download)

 

If NTGX65_12.01.41.00 firmware is not the most recent for this modem, then what is?

 

Also, can Netgear please provide me the most recent firmware to download for this model?

 

Your help is much appreciated

    Hi charchi,

     

    The Nighthawk M6 Pro automatically checks for new software or firmware updates periodically. If an update becomes available, the Nighthawk M6 Pro displays an alert. There is no option to manually update the firmware as it is locked by the Internet Provider.

      I have an AT&T unlocked M6 Pro. Has there been any other changes to allow for a firmware update to the device. I am presently outside of the United States.

       

      Please advise

        No there will not be any change to allow you to update the firmware of your device unless you are on the ATT network, using an ATT sim card. The firmware updates are provided by ATT. Netgear does not provide firmware updates to ATT branded devices directly, updates all come from ATT servers

  • I have a Nighthawk M6 (MR6500-1TLAUS) from Telstra, not the Pro variant.
    My device also has firmware NTGX65_12.01.41.00.

    No upgrades available when I checked today.  

    From memory, there have been at least 2 firmware upgrades since I purchased this unit, perhaps 2 years ago.  But nothing newer since.

    I was thinking perhaps Telstra might remove 3G support for this device, hence I checked for upgrades today.

    I have found that there are occasional times when there is a lose of internet connectivity, but I am not sure if this is a device issue or if it is a network issue.  I have an older Netgear AirCard 782S Mobile Hotspot which also has the occasional drop.so it may be network related.  Since two different Netgear models have the same behaviour in the same area, I'll give the benefit of the doubt to Netgear.
