M6 PRO Wifi Signal Dropping Out
We have a M6 Pro Nighthawk modem which has been great & worked very well the past couple of years. The Nighthawk is connected directly to power with no battery fitted & has a couple of wifi camera...

Thanks Stephen, see below answers to your question:
- All devices are connected to the modem, on the modem dashboard under “Wifi” it shows 4 devices connected to modem.
- Yes can see the network & can connect to modem
- Correct, connected to modem, but can not connect to the internet.
Yes Ring cameras show as offline due to not receiving the wifi signal from the modem.
Also the modem shows at the top left corner that it is receiving Telstra 5G signal with three bars, however on the dashboard when you go into the “data usage” is shows Detecting Service & nothing displays on the screen.
Normally this would show how many GB we have used & how many days left on the plan.
If we reboot the modem & go into data usage section after start up, it then shows how much data we have used & how many days left on our plan - the wifi signal to the devices then works again also… For 1-2hrs at least until the next drop out.

Ok. So none of the wifi connections have dropped. The mobile broadband connection doesn't seem to have dropped, but Telstra isn't providing you service until you reboot the modem.
Have you reached out to Telstra? This could be something on their end.
When you talk to them be careful on your vocabulary. None of your connections have dropped - your devices are all connected to your mobile router, the mobile router is connected to a Telstra cell tower. The problem is that you are not getting internet service from Telstra even though your router is connected. Using "dropped" implies a different set of problems, and they'd likely point you back to Netgear if you use it.

stephen, Autoben,
About 8-10 years ago l had put together this little 1080P HD NightVision Camera that has builtin wifi running at 2.4Ghz, of which the camera did include a tiny builtin internal battery, so that it would be able keep setup configurations on the SD card. However, I had to attached a USB external Battery pack to power the Wifi camera for about 8-12 hours approx. At that time, I had ISP broadband connection at home, which included ISP cable modem connectivity with both 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz.
The problem that I had with this little camera, was the wifi connection was't stable enough, while it was connected to the ISP cable modem will sometimes lose wifi connection . So I got around the problem by getting a "Home Mesh Wifi System" which has support for both 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz Dual Channels . This little camera had a Fixed IP Address that couldn't be changed at all. So I had to configure one of the main mesh cube box, the one that is connected directly to the cable modem ethernet port. This idea might give you some other option, or ideas for your lost of wifi connectivity issue.
I have not tested it yet, with my mobile routers MR6450 & MR7450. I have been a bit little busy with some other stuff.

The best thing about the Mesh System is that they communicate with each other. Placing one of mesh cube in various location, or rooms, or upstairs to get better wifi coverage.

This isn't what is happening here, since all devices are losing internet service, and none are experiencing wifi connection loss.
There's nothing in the symptoms Autoben has reported so far that points to the cameras as the cause/trigger.
