MAC OS X Sierra (10.12)
Is anyone getting an AC340U (AT&T Beam) working on OS X 10.12 (Sierra)? The AT&T Connection Software isn't saying the modem is connected. Nothing is appearing in System Preferences/Network Settings...

DO NOT DO A FRESH REINSTALL OF SIERRA if you want to keep your NetGear AirCard 340U working with your Mac OSX.
That is, STAY WITH EL CAPITAN version until the new driver is out.
I've already tried the NetGear AirCard Watcher 2.5.0 driver. It doesn't work on the upgrade to Sierra, nor does it work on the fresh install of Sierra. AC340U USB device works fine under Windows 7 and Windows 10.
Save yourself...the aggravation.

NetGear has published a new driver today (October 14, 2016) for AirCard series.
There is no instruction given with it, so caveat emptor with mine.
I downloaded the ZIP file from
http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26983/(Opens%20in%20new%20window)~/aircard-340u-(at%26t-beam)-downloads-and-documentation?cid=wmt_netgear_organic
And inside the 'Contents' folder is another folder called 'Resources'.
It is there that I clicked on the 'Drivers_10.9.pkg' directly.
And the result? Reboot, re-logged in, and plugged in the AirCard 340U back into the USB port. *cricket*
No change for me.
