mDNS on Nighthawk m1

I just got a Nighthawk M1. Mainly because I needed a portable solution to set up a LAN for some devices. An internet connection is not necessary for my use. All the devices is setup so they can be connected to via mDNS / .local connection. I can access my devices if I type in the local IP address of the device, but if I use the .local address it just forwards to the m1login.net router control panel address.

I know that the mDNS system work on other networks I have tested before, including mobile hotspot from a smartphone. Does mDNS not work with the Nighthawk M1? Is there some setting that need to be configured? Does mDNS on a LAN only work when a SIM card is used (this would be a strange one)? Any suggestions on how to fix this?
