Mobile router MR1100 - LOCKED

NETGEAR replaced my unlocked router above with a LOCKED router. I have tried 2 online sites to get an unlock code. It appears that the NETGEAR app is looking for a 8 character code.  

it would be easier to commune with the dead, than find anyway of communicating with NETGEAR support! 

can anyone help?  Does anyone know of a UK-based service that can help? Thank you in advance. 

I am getting extremely disappointed and disillusioned with NETGEAR.

  • Just open yet another thred is as useless as searching on the Internet for some magic unlock code.

     

    Impossible to guess from here what the App is asking for here. SIM PIN? SIM PUK? Provide a screenshot please.

     

    Further on - is it possible you bought a carrier branded version which was unlocked to accept other carrier SIM cards, and Negear has replaced the unit by a carrier locked device?

     

    As well, please make a picture of the MR1100 (M1) product label [under the batters if I'm not wrong] - of interest is the exact model designation (not the serial number or IMEI).

     

    PS: I don't own such a device, so can't compare and test.

    Locked devices are Internet Service provider units. 

     

    Please provide the device SKU (e.g. MR1100-100NAS). This can be checked on the box of the product or on the barcode label

      The SKU number is: MR1100-1EEEUS

       

      i eventually managed to call someone at NETGEAR, and they have agreed the router needs to be 'swapped out' - Fingers crossed!
