MR1100-100 cant connect to any device to start up

Hi I am helping my father with his Netgear MR1100 router, we cant connect the router to any device, the wifi that the router shows dosent appear on any device either mobile or computer. The mobile app isnt availible for download on any of our mbiles beacause we have a newer version of android.. I have tried to connect the router with a ethernet cable to acces the m1login page but that dosent work either.. Does any one have any answers to what we should do? I said that this is the worst router i have ever had in my hands.. The light is orange if that is any help

It's the other way round: One does connect (or associate) wireless clients to the MR1100 access point.

Netgear Mobile app (as refered on https://www.netgear.com/support/product/mr1100#download) can be installed flawlessly on a current Android 13 (Build TQ3A. ....) Pixel 6a scratch installed and updated as we are writing here. Very unlikely there are much newer Android versions out here.

What mobile phone make, model are we facing here?

The Ethernet link from the computer is coming up?

Is the adapter configured for DHCP?

Is an IP address assigned to the computer?

    Tried http://192.168.1.1/ instead?

My father has a Xiaomi and he has been able to download the app, but even with different sim cards in the device, so we cant get in to it with either the phone or computer with ethernet.

With the WiFi SSID not becoming visible, I suspect something essential is wrong with the device status. Needless to ask if you have done a factory reset one might guess. Carrier SIM is irrelevant, because all it requires is a WiFi connection. Don't hesitate to get in touch with the Netgear Customer Service via https://my.netgear.com/ please.
