MR1100 Firmware update fails
- Received Important Security Firmware Update from NETGEAR email, followed directions: downloaded unzipped:
MR1100-100NAS_23113828_NTG9x50C_12.06.08.00_00_GenericNA_04.00.secc.spk
Logged into Netgear portal, uploaded .spk, upoad processes for a short while, then generates error: "Firmware update failed, invalid update file, this update is not intended for this product"
Current version is 12.06.02

Which "MR1100"? If I visit http://netgear.com/support , and put in
"MR1100" as the model number, I see multiple variants.> Current version is 12.06.02
Under Downloads for the generic model, I don't see that among the
Previous versions.I know nothing, but I'd guess that you have one of the ISP-specific
models, and it's rejecting generic (or other-variant) firmware.Hello

For the generic MR1100, I see:

The first ISP-specific variant I checked had no firmware listed, so
I assume that the ISP deals with it, not you. But what do I know?
