Mr1100 repeatedly get changed PIN messages

Using a Nighthawk Mr1100 firmware NTG9X50C_12.06.39.00 and for no apparent reason the past few days I keep getting messages saying my PIN has been changed, but I've changed nothing. Then sometimes I have a hard time deleting all the messages and often the device locks up.

Help!
