After some more extensive testing with the M1 from a fried, i can confirm:

  • Nighthawk M1 stores an APN-List PER SIM CARD and it stays PERSISTENT, and it displays it BESIDE THE APNs STORED ON THE SIM. EXCEPT for:
  • the SIM-Card being "fishy" as it contains no APNs on the SIM - then it DOES NOT STORE A CUSTOM APN FOR THAT PARTICULAR SIM CARD THUS ONLY BOOTING WITH AN EMPTY APN LIST.

This behaviour appears buggy to me as a Huawei E5885LS-93a does the right thing: booting up with the fishy SIM card and just showing the custom entered APNs and connects automatically.

 

It appears that SOME O2-Cards from Germany are affected as well as only SOME A1-Cards from Austria. (I have three SIM cards on my contract and only one of them has no APNs stored onto it.)
